WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT

CHOICES - Most of our pieces are available in your choice of six woods as well as up to twelve different colors for each wood. You have over 50 choices when it comes to wood/color to choose from. Most pieces also come with your choice of seven varieties of hardware.

QUALITY OF OUR WOOD - We use only the best quality of Northern U.S. hardwoods that are kiln dried to assure proper moisture content to prevent splitting and cracking. To maintain this proper moisture content, your home needs to maintain a level of humidity around 35%.

THREE STEP SANDING PROCESS - The first step involves a belt type sander and removes all planer marks. The second step, started immediately before the staining process, is done with a hand held, air-powered sander in which the craftsman uses his free hand to feel the wood's smoothness. To ensure a smooth finish, the third sanding is done by hand with sandpaper, after the sealer has been applied.

QUALITY FINISH - All our stains are hand applied, and then we spray the sealer and catalyzed varnish to assure a smooth and even finish. Each piece is resistant to water, nail polish remover and alcohol, so that it is appropriate for everyday use.

QUALITY DRAWER CONSTRUCTION - To ensure that your drawer will maintain it's shape for generations, our drawers feature dovetail joints on both front and back. Each drawer is made of either Oak or Maple and is finished all around so that fine clothing will never be snagged by a rough edge. There are smooth-riding slides on each side of all of our drawers, which are guaranteed for life. The depth of the drawers in all of our pieces reaches the full depth of the cabinet and thus giving you more storage space.

QUALITY DOOR CONSTRUCTION - All of our raised or flat panel doors consist of a five piece construction with a true solid wood panel.

SOLID WOOD CABINET BACKING - The backs of all our hutches, cabinets and case goods are solid wood. No cardboard or particle board is used.

SOLID TABLES - Most of our larger tables feature a 1-inch thick top and all of our tables are finished on ALL sides to block moisture, which helps to eliminate warping problems. Equalized geared guides are used on both sides of our pedestal tables and heavy duty wood guides are used on our four and five legged tables.
